While the video may be low-quality, it’s hard to diminish the beauty of the Alps. As a wheelchair user, there’s still every chance to feel the fresh powder and go from being a snow bunny to a carvoholic catching some air. While the adaptive skis may look terrifying, finding balance to stay upright comes naturally. To ski, you fold into a hard shell seat and use poles equipped with skis on the bottom instead of the traditional poles abled bodies skiers use. Once locked in and secured, you push off and scream your head off trying to figure out how to stop.
